Directions to reach Spring Cottages:

If travelling from either direction on the M5 motorway we suggest you leave at Junction 22. Turn north onto the A38 towards Bristol through the villages of Rooksbridge, Tarnock and Lower Weare until you come to the village of Cross. Having entered the 40 miles per hour zone there is a right turn onto the A371 signed Cheddar and Wells. Continue for about two miles, bypassing the village of Axbridge. You will pass Broadway House caravan park on your left-hand side just before the road begins to bear right. Now turn left, before the BP petrol station and immediately right, following the sign for Cheddar Gorge. This leaves the petrol station on your right. ** At the first cross roads turn left into Hannay Road. Follow this to the end and turn left into Venns Gate. After a short distance Venns Gate narrows and Spring Cottages are on your left-hand side (Look for the Spring Cottages sign on the cottages and turn LEFT into our drive.).

If you are coming from the Wells or Bath directions, pass through Cheddar on the A371, proceed for about ¾ mile and at the end of a long straight, turn right at the BP petrol station (on the right). Immediately turn right again (passing behind the petrol station.) from which point follow the instructions from ** above.

If you do not have your own transport, the local bus service No. 126 serves Cheddar from the Weston-super-Mare and Wells directions.
