Apple Blossom

Cherry Tree

Honeysuckle

Our self catering accommodation consists of three one bedroom cottages, Apple Blossom, Cherry Tree and Honeysuckle. They have been converted from what the original barn was used for Spring Cottage when it was a working farm, but now beautifully converted into three self contained cottages, built of local stone, nestling on the South side of the beautiful Mendip Hills.

If you are looking for a relaxed holiday, with plenty to see and do, then Spring Cottages are just what you are looking for. We offer three individual cottages, fitted out with everything to make your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

We are 15 minutes walk from the spectacular Cheddar Gorge and Cheddar Caves and the same distance from the village centre. Click HERE

All three cottages have double beds, with the added benefit that Cherry Tree and Honeysuckle can be made into single twin beds if required; just indicate on the booking form which you would prefer. The cottages are heated by night storage heaters, which have been upgraded for 2008 and heated towel rails in each bathroom. You only pay for the electricity you use (not the heating) by £1 coin meters. The water is heated by gas which we make a small charge for.

There is a large south-facing garden which is enjoyed by all our guests, just a short walk down the drive. Here you will find the summer house for your use including comfortable reclining chairs, a garden table and a BBQ. Sit and relax by the summer house or at the bottom of the garden in our Willow Arbour, the views of the Mendip Hills, Crook Peak and Brent Knoll are spectacular. You can just sit and enjoy the sunshine - perfect for a glass of wine at the end of the day as the sun goes down.

We understand that this part of the barn was mainly used for keeping farm animals when this was a working farm. They have long since departed and this section has been transformed into a very comfortable cottage next to Cherry Tree cottage and farthest from Honeysuckle cottage.

Upon entering the cottage, you walk into the comfortable living area, with a two seater sofa and arm chair. A colour television/VCR and CD player/radio. Books and games are also provided.

The kitchen/dining area has the benefit of a refrigerator, microwave oven, electric cooker and washing machine. An ironing board and iron are provided. We also provide a vacuum cleaner and other cleaning materials to keep your cottage fresh whilst you are staying with us.

A clothes dryer is in your cottage, plus access to a washing line in the garden.

A short staircase leads to the pretty bedroom with a double bed, complete with duvet, throw, electric blanket and bedside tables with drawers and lamps. A three drawer chest of drawers with mirror plus easy chair is also provided. On the landing there is a double wardrobe with plenty of hanging space and storage.

Opposite, a separate bathroom and toilet includes a bath with an electric shower over. A heated towel rail and a wall mounted electric fan heater if required. For further information see Facilities. Top of the Page

This cottage is between Apple Blossom and Honeysuckle cottages and the space it now occupies is believed to have been mainly used for the storage of animal feed when this was a working farm. All traces of hay and straw have been swept away!

It reflects its former use with the display of some old farm items. Cherry Tree is our designated cottage for guests who wish to bring their dogs, but obviously can be used by guests without dogs too. (Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or up stairs.)

You walk through the front door onto a tiled area, which is so practical for wet feet, and paws! This leads to the kitchen area which has the benefit of a refrigerator, microwave oven and electric cooker. An ironing board and iron are provided. We also provide a vacuum cleaner and other cleaning materials to keep your cottage fresh whilst you are staying with us. A spin drier is available in the walking room, and there is clothes dryer in the cottage, plus access to a line in the garden.

Into the dining and living area, with two comfortable arm chairs and coffee table. A colour television/VCR and CD player/radio. Books and games are also provided.
